| Join staff and volunteers at the Akokisa Village for a celebration of Indigenous culture. Observe demonstrations and learn about the Indigenous Peoples that lived in Southeast Texas. All ages are welcome; this program is great for Scouts. The village is a 1/3-mile hike on a gravel trail. Chikawa Aztec Dance performs at 11:30 a.m. |
| Ground surface is variable on trail leading to homestead and Akokisa village. Ground surface is paved if accessing from the Bender Trail. Trails/Paths around and throughout homestead/village are variable – mostly mulch. |
