Rainy Days and Lego Men

2012-01-26

Yesterday a-storm a-came. We were prepared. We made it to Chick-fil-a AND back with our Chicken Minis before the monsoon started. It seemed like the perfect day to get some stuff done. I warned SBW that the power might go out. But, he was all like, “I totally got this, Mom.” Okay, not really, but he definitely had a plan – the Lego man flashlight. The scene was hilarious: The husband is standing in front of an open oven with cookies sheets all around him because he had dropped them due to him “claiming” theyRead More →

Family Tales: The Best Unsurprise

2009-03-18

So, there I was, minding my own business, walking down a dark hall and out of the shades of a blackened room jumps a child (assisted by his Gran) screaming, “Boo!” I pretty much wet myself. But. on the upside, it led to an hour of my toddler walking out from behind things saying, “Boo.” (no exclamation point, he’s not that loud). Then he would die in peels of laughter at his own hilarity. He thought this was the funniest game, ever. And, he being the cutest baby on earth, got everyone to play along.Read More →
