Join us on Saturday, February 17th for a family-friendly, living history demonstration!
In 1827, Austin’s militia was sent to the Nacogdoches area to qualm a small rebellion against the Mexican government. At the time, most Texians still had loyalty to Mexico and the rebellion was seen as an unpopular defiance. Staff and volunteers in period clothing will preform military demonstrations and canon firings between 9am and 4pm.
