From the Space Center Houston Home School Day organizer:
Every Home School Day this year begins at 9 a.m., which means Home School Day guests get an extra hour to explore before the center opens to the public.
- Each Home School Day will have a schedule filled with classroom-based activities and hands-on experiences for all ages.
- Board the NASA Tram Tour and experience NASA Johnson Space Center. Explore Rocket Park and the massive Saturn V rocket as well as a new one-of-a-kind bronze statue depicting the Apollo 13 crew.
- Walk underneath the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket to get a close-up look at an important piece of reusable technology that has improved our potential for space travel.
- Get a glimpse into the space program from an astronaut’s perspective in our Astronaut Mission Memories presentations at 11:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. in Space Center Theater.
- Purchase your ticket in advance to take advantage of our Home School Day discount. Tickets purchased before the day of the event are $14.95. Ticket sales will end one week before the day of the event. Any tickets not used for a specific event date, may be used at a later time.
