An Evening Under the Stars DETAILS

From the organizer:

The Houston Astronomical Society, in cooperation with the Harris County Precinct 4 Parks Department and the John Paul Landing Park Environmental Education Center, will be hosting a monthly event for the public. You will have the opportunity to come out and view the night skies above Harris County through a variety of different types of telescopes. View objects in the night sky such as the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, star clusters, and more. The members of the Houston Astronomical Society are excited to have this opportunity to spread their love of astronomy with the public and answer any questions you may have about this fascinating hobby. Viewing will begin about thirty minutes after sunset and continue for about two hours or until the park closes at 10:00 pm. **In the event of bad weather or overcast skies the event for that evening will be cancelled.

Don’t forget to scope out some of the ongoing weekly events for Toddlers & Preschoolers as well as our extensive list for Homeschoolers.
