Survive the Runaway Scrape DETAILS

From the organizer:

During the Texas Revolution, Mexican soldiers fired pre-made cartridges filled with black powder and a musket ball wrapped in paper. Learn how they worked by making your own replica cartridge using candy in place of the bullet and gunpowder. We’ll provide the materials; all you need is your creativity.

SAN JACINTO DAY takes place on the first Saturday of each month. On that day, children can enter for free when accompanied by an adult family member who purchases a ticket. In addition, there will be a hands-on, interactive program designed to be enjoyed as a family scheduled for part of the day. Child entry is FREE all day with the purchase of an adult ticket, so bring the kids or grandkids and experience Texas history as a family!  While groups are welcome to participate in the Family Day activity, free child admission only applies to families.
