Just Another Laundry Monday!

Sometimes a three year old really can be helpful. As opposed, to pretend helpful. Today, my three year old moved all the clothes from the washer to the dryer. Then filled the empty washer up with the next load of clothing.
The mundane task offerred plenty of insight in to the differences of an adult doing the laundry, for the gagillionth time, and a very excited and enthusiatic child helping with the laundry. As, he moved each item over, usually one at a time, he giggled when he saw underpants. On one occassion he pulled two pairs of his underpants out and paused to lovingly cradle them to his face and say, “I love these underpants. They’re the best!”Then he specifically put them all the way in the back so they would get really dry.
You know? Adults just don’t take time to smell the roses and give their underpants an appreciative hug. So maybe, just maybe, the next time you are folding those whites you won’t forget to thank your underpants for the spectacular job they do 🙂
Disclaimer: This applies only to those who wear underpants.
