Do you have a Bank of America Card (BOA) – then welcome to the Museums on Us Program (museumsonus)! You get an amazing deal – free admission – to hundreds of world-class museums. I think this deal falls squarely into the thrill I feel for finding a good deal – not so much that I geek out over museums. Okay, I definitely geek out over museums.

It is at least $25 per adult to go to our science museum (and if all the kids want to see are the stinkin’ dinosaurs it can be a hard pill to swallow!). Many of our museums do offer free entrance options. However, many of the time windows are later in the day which, with kids, make it an ‘event most likely to be canceled.’

Free admission to over 100 museums nationwide if you show any Bank of America card and ID. You present your BOA card and photo ID during the first full weekend (Saturday & Sunday) of every month for one free general admission.

Houston Museums Included

While, Bank of America FREE Museums do change, currently in Houston, it includes the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Children’s Museum Houston, and the Museum of Fine Arts.

This saves you a nice chunk of change per BOA card carrying person at the museums. Likewise, at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston kids 12 and under are always free and people 18 and under visiting on a Saturday or Sunday with a public Texas-issued library card are also eligible for free admission. Overall, MFAH offers a lot of ways to receive discounted admission.
