Neighborhood: Downtown

What to order: Definitely not just pizza (check out the Squid Ink Bucatini Frutti DI mARE), but the pizza is worth finding downtown. How many pizza places do you know that have to close because they run out of dough?! This place has barbecue level fame and is every review proves it. Even if you do not frequent downtown they have frozen pizzas to take home!

2. Bollo Woodfired Pizza

What to order: All of their authentic Neopolitan pizzas are baked in an 800° wood-fired oven. If you are unsure start with a classic Margherita! And, not to tell you what to do but they have Nutella gelato…just sayin’.

3. Bombay Pizza Company

What to order: They have the classics but when in Bombay try a specialty – like the Slumdog! It’s loaded with grilled chicken, pepperoni, beef, Spanish chorizo, Canadian bacon, jalapenos, red onions and mozzarella on Bombay Pizza Sauce.

What to order: So, yes. It is not a pizzeria but the pizza here has people talking! Look at that hand-tossed crust – it’s cold fermented for 72 hours with the same yeast they use in the beer. It’s no wonder people keep sending us to a brewery for the best pizza in Houston. Oh, and one more thing, you can ‘Dust the Crust’ in Cheeto, Ranch, or Garlic Parmesean. So, whichever you order do that!

What to order: We can’t send you to a pizzeria with a pizza called Truffle Daddy and not recommend it! Get the Truffle Daddy! Truffle marscapone, prosciutto, house-made mozzarella, parmesan…sorry, I need to go pick up a pizza. BRB.

What to order: There is a lot going on at Coltivare – pizza, cake, so much culinary excellence! If you are there for the pizza try something a little different and go for the Manila clams pizza with tarragon pesto and Bianco sauce. If you are outside of Downtown try their sister restaurant, Vinny’s.

8. Dan’s Pizza Co.

Neighborhood: Webster, Clear Lake, Kemah

What to order: There are three southeast Houston locations. The original & Scarsdale locations are primarily carry out and for delivery. However, the Kemah location has a pup-friendly patio. Try the Surf and Turf – it has an olive oil base, then is topped with shrimp, chicken, garlic, avocado, bacon, pineapple & goat cheese. Yum! And, holy cannoli…don’t forget an order of cannolis they look a-mazing too!

9. Dattz

What to order: Dattz is for delivery and carryout only but when in Cypress do it! What to get? One of their specialty pizzas, we recommend either the Natural Disaster or Jalapeno Popper, and a side of Pepperoni rolls. Enjoy!

It is a classic (like them) loaded with Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, black olives and green olives.
