Become immersed in Houston’s diverse Asian heritage and ring in the Lunar New Year. Enjoy a day of performances and inspired activities celebrating the Year of the Dragon.

Soaring Phoenix Lion Dance – 11am

Location: Kid’s Hall-Alcove

Malia’s Hula Hut – 12pm

Enjoy this traditional Polynesian performance for Lunar New Year

Location: Brown Auditorium

Lavang Lion Dance – 1pm

Location: Kid’s Hall-Alcove

Dance of Asian America – 2pm

Enjoy these traditional dances in celebration of Lunar New Year.

Ruby’s Chinese New Year – 3pm

by the Houston Grand Opera

Ruby has a special card to give to her grandmother for Chinese New Year. But who will help her get to grandmother’s house to deliver it? Will it be clever Rat, strong Ox, or cautious Rabbit? In this Chinese New Year tale, animals from the Chinese zodiac help a little girl deliver a gift to her grandmother.
