Typically focuses on protagonists aged 18-29, with the core being 18-25. These are readers who have outgrown the high school focus of YA but aren’t yet fully settled into the established careers, families, and lives often depicted in mainstream adult fiction.

Generally more mature and explicit than YA. While YA might hint at sexual relationships or violence, NA often depicts them in more detail.
