Visit the two MFAH house museums—Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens and Rienzi—for an afternoon of free, family-friendly programs that connect art, nature, history, and science. Park at Bayou Bend and take the complimentary shuttle between locations!
“Women in America” at Bayou Bend | Celebrate the contributions of women to early American life. Outside, enjoy music and dance performances; a storytelling program; and gardening-focused games, activities, and demonstrations.
18th Century Exhibits at Rienzi | Activities focus on 18th-century scientific expeditions, exploration, and mapping technology. Enjoy storytime in the gardens, and participate in art activities with connections to a telescope and a globe in the Rienzi Collection. Inside, explore the galleries, where docents are on hand to answer your questions.
