Great Texas Birding Classic DETAILS

The Great Texas Birding Classic (GTBC) is an annual competition held across Texas to determine which team can identify and count the most birds during a specific window of time. This is the biggest birdwatching tournament in the state and for the third year in a row, The Woodlands Township has a registered team!
The Woodlands team is competing in the ‘Big Sit’ category and will be at the Lakeside Park on Saturday, April 20 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. documenting as many birds as they can see and hear.
Residents are invited to join the team to help spot and identify birds. New to birding? Our team members will be your guide. Bring a lawn chair and binoculars, or borrow a pair from us, and come birding with The Woodlands Township. All ages are welcome.
