Each timeslot can accommodate 14 families (with no more than 6 people per family). Those interested in participating will need to register. Once the 14 family slots are filled, we will start a waitlist. Please note that masks are currently optional in Precinct 4 facilities.

From the organizer: Houston Shakespeare Festival The Houston Shakespeare Festival debuted in 1975 when Dr. Sidney Berger, then director of the School of Theatre at the University of Houston, met with UH administrators and the Miller Theatre Advisory Board to enlist support for a two-production season of Shakespeare’s works to be played in repertory on Miller Theatre’s bill. Berger and UH theatre professor Cecil Pickett went on to direct a pair of plays each summer, performing free to the public at Hermann Park’s Miller Outdoor Theatre in this unique collaboration between a city and a university. Tickets are available online 1-2 days in advance of performances. Schedule: King Lear

From the organizer: Harness your own super power for a free screening of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. June’s Famiy Movie night, sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital, begins at 8:30 pm. Outside furniture is not permitted; blankets and park chairs can be used. Snacks and beverages, including beer and wine, will be available from Side Dough an hour prior to the movie through the end of the show.
