If you want to have fun and learn how to better speak the Czech language then you should come to the Czech Center Museum Houston, located at 4920 San Jacinto St. in Houston, on Monday nights. Classes welcome beginners and advanced Czech speakers. Classes are on-going and can be joined at anytime. The only prerequisite for the classes is an interest in the Czech language and culture. Classes are free for members and the materials are provided by the organization. 71st Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade The 72nd Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at 9 a.m. Located in the heart of downtown Houston, this event is one of the oldest Thanksgiving Day parades in the country.  Each year, several hundred thousand Houstonians line the streets to cheer on participants. The parade will traverse over 20 city blocks and will feature elaborate floats, colorful marching bands, high-flying balloons and other uniquely Houston entries. ArtWalk Since 1986, the Galveston Arts Center has been the proud organizer of ArtWalk. Held eight times a year on Saturday evenings in the historic district, ArtWalk is a self-guided walking tour of downtown art galleries, studios, and exhibition spaces – both commercial and non-profit, along with alternative art venues such as cafes and shops featuring refreshments and a chance to meet regional artists and collectors. From City Place: Come experience City Place’s second annual Gingerbread Village where a trail of giant candy canes, lollipops, gumdrops, gingerbread men, and cookie trees, lead to a 16-foot high house and 12-foot tall windmill.
