At Pioneer Day, held the second Saturday in November, and Homestead Heritage Day the second Saturday in February, visitors can travel back in time by making corn husk dolls, bonnets, lye soap, beeswax candles, and much more. Tomball Depot 201 S. Elm, TomballDepot Day is an event filled with history, education, and detailed model railroad displays in three scales. From the tiny Z-Scale inside the Depot Museum freight room and the Lionel O-Scale filling the classic caboose, to the 1,200 square foot G-Gauge layout outside the historic building, Depot Day is a train fan’s dream.
