Spring Plant Sale at Mercer Botanic Gardens
May 8, 2021 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Put a little spring in your step and spend some “thyme” in the garden as you shop for floral treasures found at The Mercer Society’s Spring Plant Sale. Mercer’s annual, in-person plant sale fundraiser features nearly 1,200 varieties of high-quality plants rarely found at local retail nurseries.
This premier plant sale offers tax-free shopping with no admission charge. Discover Mercer Grown plants, raised at nearby greenhouses by experienced staff and volunteers, that are adaptable to the variety of soils and weather conditions in the Gulf Coast region. And, remember to celebrate Mother’s Day by picking out the perfect plant gift for mom, such as tropical gingers, flowering annuals and perennials, roses, hibiscus, and Gulf Coast natives to attract butterflies to her garden.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own wagons to transport purchases as only a limited number of wagons are available.
To ensure a safe shopping experience, social distancing will be practiced, hand sanitizer will be placed at key locations, and wagons will be sanitized between uses.
Early shopping is available for TMS members from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. To become a TMS member or renew a membership, visit https://themercersociety.org/. An invitation only reception and plant sale for TMS Supporting Members and higher is scheduled for Friday, May 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
