Sleepovers and Overnights
Overnights for Scouts and Groups is a great way to up the fun factor of an experience. Plus, some experiences need a little extra time. Historical

  • Lone Star Flight Museum:
    • $55 per youth (ages 7-18) and $45 per adult chaperone
      • Includes, dinner, snack, and breakfast
    • Minimum 25 participants; max 100.
  • Battleship Texas:
    • Boys and Girls ages 6 and up (separate sleeping quarters and bathrooms will be used)
    • October – May $42 per person, June – Sept. $32 per person
      • Includes breakfast Sunday morning

  • Blackwood Educational Land Institute
    • Multi-day and week-long programs
    • Size 34, with an additional space for 40 cots.
    • The curriculum can be customized for age-appropriateness and interest from farm work, to food cycles, to soil science.
  • Childrens Museum of Houston -Scout Overnights:
    • CMH has two dedicated nights for sleepovers, $50 per scout and $25 per chaperone
    • Includes evening snack and continental breakfast
  • The Health Museum Girl Scout Overnights:
    • Feb. 16, March 9, April 20, May 11
      • $50 per scout, $20 per chaperone, plus $10 dinner option,
  • Houston Museum of Natural Science:
    • Cub Scout Overnights: Sept. 21
    • GEMS Overnight: Sold Out, next date TBD
    • Private Overnight: M-Th $2500-2700 up to40 people, additional people $60-90 each; Fridays$3000-3200 up to40 people, additional people $70-100 each; Saturdays$3600-3800 up to40 people, additional people $85-115 each.
    • Schools can also book overnights at slightly higher rates than scouts
    • For a late night (as opposed to sleeping at the museum) you can book M-F starting at $900 for 30 people.
  • Offshore Energy Center:
    • Available on the 4th Friday or Saturday of the Month
    • Ages 8-18, minimum 17 people; max 25
    • $750 for up to 17 participants, $45 per person up to 25 participants
      • Includes late night snack and continental breakfast.
  • Space Center Houston Overnights:
    • Family Campouts – $59.95 per person
    • Scout, Lego Robotics, and American Heritage Girls – $59.95 per scout, $49.95 per adult
      • Includes dinner, activities, breakfast, next day admission and a guided tour o NASA Johnson Space Center
