Historical

  • Battleship Texas:closed for extensive renovation
    • Boys and Girls ages 6 and up (separate sleeping quarters and bathrooms will be used)
    • October – May $42 per person, June – Sept. $32 per person
      • Includes breakfast Sunday morning
  • Galveston Naval Museum $25-$60 per person
    • Group minimum of 15; minimum age is 5 years old.
  • Galveston Railroad Museum (via VRBO)
  • Lone Star Flight Museum:
    • $60 per youth (ages 7-18) and $50 per adult chaperone
      • Includes, dinner, snack, and breakfast
      • Siblings welcome, at least 5 years old
    • Scout specific programming available
  • Newman’s Castle (Bellville, TX):
    • Includes: A tour of the castle which includes a working drawbridge, moat, and trebuchet. A hot evening meal and breakfast.
    • $45 per person
  • Rosenberg Railroad Museum
    • $55 per scout, $45 per adult
    • Bring your own tent and gear.
    • Dinner and breakfast supplied by RRM
  • USS Lexington (Corpus Christi, TX)
    • $75 per night, one and two day programs available
    • For groups of at least 15; Males and females will be berthed separately. If you are a mom bringing boys or vice versa call them and sometimes accommodations can be made.
    • Includes: overnight stay in crew quarters, two meals (dinner and breakfast), self-guided tour of LEX, planned activities on board and admission to the 3D MEGA Theater.

    • $70 per person (1 complimentary adult per 5 children); ages 6-14
      • Includes snack, t-shirt, and breakfast
  • Fossil Rim Wildlife Park (Glen Rose, TX)
    • $105 per person (1 free chaperone per 10 campers); 5th grade and up
    • Includes air-conditioned bunk rooms, dinner, and breakfast
  • Houston Zoo Overnights:
    • $75 per person; Capacity 80, minimum 20
    • Includes snack, breakfast, guided hike, activities, animal meet & greet, early morning zoo tour, next-day admission, and a souvenir bracelet
  • Moody Gardens Overnight Adventures (Galveston, TX)
    • $1000 for up to 20 people, $50 per additional guest
      • Includes dinner and breakfast
  • Newman’s Castle (Bellville, TX)
    • Includes dinner and breakfast
    • Largely unstructured play, sleeping for more than 30 will be tight
  • SeaWorld San Antonio Group Overnights
    • $95 per participant, $65 per adult
      • Includes Dinner, Breakfast, a T-shirt, a water bottle, and parking
      • Note to scout groups: SeaWorld has its own Health & Activity Consent forms that will need to be completed by each family in addition to the required scout documents.

  • Blackwood Educational Land Institute
    • Multi-day and week-long programs
    • Size 34, with an additional space for 40 cots.
    • The curriculum can be customized for age-appropriateness and interest from farm work, to food cycles, to soil science.
  • Children’s Museum of Houston: suspended due to COVID-19
    • Limited options for specific communities
    • Fourth grade girls from Houston-area schools are invited to a “sleepover” at the Museum. Junior League volunteers tour the girls through the Museum and facilitate activities alongside our talented Discovery Guides.  Museum Overnight Adventures occur once a month during the school year on a Friday night, at no charge to the students or participating schools
  • The Health Museum Girl Scout Overnights:
    • January, February, April, May
      • $50 per scout, $20 per chaperone, plus $10 dinner option,
  • Houston Museum of Natural Science:
    • Periodically specific dates for scouts are released
    • Private Overnight: M-Th $2600-2850 up to 40 people, additional people $65-95 each; Fridays $3100-3350 up to 40 people, additional people $75-105 each; Saturdays $3700-3950 up to 40 people, additional people $90-120 each.
    • For a late night (as opposed to sleeping at the museum) you can book M-F starting at $900 for 30 people.
  • Offshore Energy Center (Galveston, TX)
    • Available on Fridays or Saturdays
    • Ages 8-18, minimum 17 people; max 25
    • $750 for up to 17 participants, $45 per person up to 25 participants
      • Includes late night snack and continental breakfast.
  • Space Center Houston Overnights:
    • Military Families & Family Campouts – $69.95 per person
    • First Lego League – $59.95 per person
    • Scouts and American Heritage Girls – $69.95 per scout, $59.95 per adult
