Sunrise Yoga at Buffalo Bayou Flow into the weekend with Sunrise Yoga on Buffalo Bayou with a series of 45-minute early morning yoga sessions that will take place on the lawn at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park. With a spectacular view of downtown, Houston’s most iconic green space is a unique and uplifting backdrop for yogis of all levels and ages. Bring your own mat. Reusable water bottle encouraged. 2019 Homeschool Day at Washington on the Brazos In September and October, the staff at the Museum and Barrington Farm will present Childhood in Early Texas, an interactive hands-on program for the entire family, targeting students ages 5-12. Discover what life was like for a child in the mid-19th century during a visit to this historic site. Students will learn about chores, clothing, schools, farm life, and more. A Trip to the Moon WindSync’s A Trip to the Moon is a music and film concert experience that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing with three musical pieces focusing on the history of space exploration – both imagined and accomplished.
