Tai Chi Join us at Levy Park with the Four Dragon’s Institute for Tai Chi and Meditation every Thursday at 9 am. Practice Tai Chi to connect and focus the body and mind with slow, low-impact gentle movements and stretches. Open to all ages and levels, this class is great for those who want to de-stress, find their inner peace, and increase overall health. Yoga mats are provided for your convenience.

Junior Curators Homeschool Day at HMM Do you ever wonder how a collection becomes a museum? Do you have a dream about working as a curator in a museum? Do you want to know the factors behind the decisions that museums make when creating exhibits? If so, Junior Curator, Homeschool Day is for you! During the program, students will learn the processes behind several daily tasks of a curator. From the knowledge they gain, attendees will be able to organize their own display, create their own participatory activity, and clean a maritime artifact. Tips: The program is best for students 10-13 but the entire family

Stories in Sound WindSync is pleased to present Sergei Prokofiev’s classic Peter and the Wolf.  Not only will the wind quintet play the much beloved music for this story, but they will also act as narrators and characters in this fully staged adaptation complete with costumes and choreography. In addition Young people will learn how the wind instruments produce sound through an old-fashioned Texas hoedown, and the audience will perform too – clapping rhythm patterns in a rousing finale.
