Come join one of our weekly explorations of the connections between the mainland and our island paradise - Galveston Bay. Sandy beach access to the calm waters of this seafood nursery abound with life! Meet our naturalist guides at the newly renovated Nature Center at 10:00 am for a brief orientation before heading to the water's edge. We'll explore for about 75 minutes. Yoga @ Levy Park Bayou Bliss Yoga presents a low-impact physical and spiritual fitness program which includes breath control, simple meditation, and bodily postures focused on improving physical flexibility, strength, and mental relaxation. This hour-long program is open to Yogis of all levels. Yoga mats and yoga blocks are provided by Levy Park for your convenience.
Hands on History! at the Museum of the American G.I. During the "Hands on History" days, we will have interactive fun and educational activities for children all day from 10 am to 5 pm. Kids will get the chance to take photos in a vehicle and play fun games — all while learning a great deal about U.S. military history. Our "Hands on History" events are great for the whole family! About a Drop-In Experience CAMH’s Drop-In Experience feature guided in-gallery discussions and pop-up activities that provide creative opportunities to experience the exhibitions on view in a unique and meaningful way. Led by our FAQ Team (Frequently Asked Questions), a group of artists and historians who assist with contextualizing CAMH’s dynamic exhibitions for diverse audiences. Drop-In Experiences are available between 1-4PM every Saturday. All ages are welcome; admission is always free.
