Jurassic Quest Jurassic Quest brings you a Dinosaur Adventure for the whole family. The main dinosaur exhibit features ultra-realistic, life-size animatronic dinosaurs; Over 80 life-size dinosaurs in all. Visitors can interact with these huge creatures, learn about them and even ride a few. It features realistic scenes, enormous dinosaurs, cute baby dinosaurs and lots of fun activities for kids of all ages. There are huge T-Rex and Triceratops fossil digs where young paleontologists can uncover long hidden dinosaurs bones, the “Dino Bounce” area with several, towering, dinosaur theme inflatable mazes, face painting, Dino crafts and much more! *This event will take place in NRG Center
First Saturday Bolivar Flats Nature Walk Come explore Bolivar Flats Shorebird Sanctuary and see what the forces of nature have left for us on the beach and in the wrack lines with Sanctuaries Manager Pete Deichmann. Yoga @ Levy Park Bayou Bliss Yoga presents a low-impact physical and spiritual fitness program which includes breath control, simple meditation, and bodily postures focused on improving physical flexibility, strength, and mental relaxation. Reptile Open House Guests of all ages are invited to meet a variety of reptiles and amphibians from the largest pythons to the smallest frogs while learning about their fascinating natural history. Visitors will enjoy live animal displays, including an appearance from 10-foot long Burmese python, Lucky, who helps Jones Park advocate for responsible pet ownership. Mark and Helena Greathouse, an international husband and wife musical duo, present their one-hour performance, “You Do Speak English, Don’t You?”, a family-friendly, lively cabaret-style variety show. The show features Mark’s own songs, as well several familiar songs and parts of instrumental numbers, all interspersed with short, humorous dialogues highlighting challenges Helena and Mark have experienced in their lives as a Czech-American couple.
