NATURE CENTER WITHOUT WALLS

A naturalist leads this ongoing program to provide updates on the preserve, local wildlife,
CANOE & FISH
Wednesdays, February 6 and 20, 3-6 p.m.
Meet at the canoe launch for an evening of canoeing and fishing on Lake Marshall.
Closed-toed shoes, a hat, and sunscreen are recommended.
TAI CHI IN THE PARK
Sunday, February 10 at 4 p.m and Saturday, Feb. 23 at 9 a.m.
Join this volunteer-led Tai Chi class at the far end of the back parking lot, opposite the
restrooms. Call Diane for questions or to confirm attendance at 281-757-7811.
FAMILY FISH CAMP
Saturday, February 16 from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Learn fishing basics and try your luck at this family event. Closed-toe shoes, a hat, and
sunscreen are recommended. Bring snacks and lunch for your family. Meet in the back
Sunday, February 17 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Participants should dress for the weather. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
NATURE EXPLORERS’ CLUB
Monday, February 18,
7-9 year olds from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
10-13 year olds from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Adults from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Discover the intricacies of nature through the power of exploration, observation, and
journaling during this 90-minute field program. Pencils and journals will be provided, though participants may bring their own. A water bottle, closed-toe shoes, and long pants are encouraged.
THIRD TUESDAY BIRDING
Tuesday, February 19 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Join the Houston Audubon Society for this monthly bird count. Previous counts have
identified more than 35 species at KickerilloMischer Preserve.

Learn about water quality by dipnetting in Lake Marshall. Ages 7+. Meet in the picnic
