Experiment, explore and make during a day of battleship science, technology, engineering, art and math activities.

Many systems on Battleship TEXAS, including the ship’s engines, were powered by steam. Today, S.T.E.A.M. is powering young imaginations to explore the worlds of science, technology, engineering, art and math. Using TEXAS as inspiration, visitors will discover 5 challenges as they tour the ship, including a Coding Challenge, Projectile Challenge, Displacement Challenge, Casemate Challenge, and Dazzle Camouflage Challenge presented by our friends at the Houston Maritime Museum.

Also, visit with members of the Houston Vintage Radio Association as they demonstrate a number of radios and oscilloscopes.

Complete all the challenges to receive a unique prize.

The challenges are designed for grades 3-6, but all ages, including adults, are welcome to participate.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
