American Ninja Baby Warriors

2015-07-09

You know what’s cool about homeschooling?  Finding fun places to take them.  Like a gym that trains American Ninja Warriors (Sam Sann and family own and run it) and is friendly to letting my three-year-old run around with the big kids.  It’s a facility in Northwest Houston called Iron Sports.  They have  many different classes some for homeschoolers during the day, after school classes, and adult classes.  We’ve even attended birthday parties here and they are great.  The kids love trying to run up the wall Seriously, it’s like a big sweaty, smelly box of happy, climbing monkey kids.     What are the bestRead More →

Comparison of Electronic Paper Cutting Machines

2013-09-05

In case you, like me, are coveting an EPCM (yeah, I’m short-handing it) but are a bit overwhelmed with the prospect of shelling out big money for something you have never personally seen here is my handy-dandy chart. It’s a showdown: Cricut vs. Silhouette vs. eCLIPS. Sure, there are a few other brands but these are the big boys.  Hope it helps. I’m going with the eCLIPS…as soon as it goes on sale again!Read More →

DIY Tulle Wreath

2013-04-19

Minecraft: the obsession and how I was roped into crafting it

2013-04-09

Minecraft. Well, if you don’t know what Minecraft is consider yourself fortunate.  It is an endless game of low graphic building with an occasional zombie, creeper or spider to kill you.  However, if it has already entered your world then you understand.  It doesn’t ever stop. Just keep building. Just keep building.  What do we do?  We build, build. When SBW’s BFF decided to have a Minecraft birthday party I thought, “Quick, to Pinterest!”  And, there I saw shirts.  Unfortunately, you, the masses, do not know how awesome I am with stencils. Last year, I saw some cute ones on Pinterest for a Star WarsRead More →
