Into the Woods @ Playhouse 1960

Into the Woods @ Playhouse 1960 | Houston | Texas | United States

Into the Woods

What really happens after “happily ever after?” Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods answers that question, skillfully interweaving several classic fairy tales into one epic story that goes beyond the happy endings to show what happens when a fairy-tale world gets real. This modern twist on the Brothers Grimm brings together Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (of beanstalk fame), Rapunzel and more. The beloved storybook characters take on startling complexity as they discover that wishes always come with a price. Witches, wolves, giants and mysterious strangers force the heroes to face the music and their future in a world where everything doesn’t always end happily. Be sure to catch this humorous and heartfelt romp through the woods, featuring such unforgettable songs as “No One Is Alone,” “Children Will Listen” and “Giants in the Sky,” when Into The Woods comes to Houston’s Playhouse 1960.

Ticket prices:
Main Stage Adult  $18
Students/Seniors (55+)/ Military and Veterans and their spouse  $15
