Our Spring Capsule Wardrobe
Springtime in Texas! Aside from fall (and pollen), it is the best time to get outside. There are bluebonnets and patios and all the places to get to before we start melting in the summer.
It is a really fun capsule to create but it is a bit of a challenge. While it is mostly nice weather there are some cold days…and there are some hot days…and there are a lot of restaurants that think it is super hot and have the A/C turned to arctic (for your comfort).
The spring capsule includes 34 pieces – 16 tops, 4 pairs of pants, 4 shorts, 1 skirt, 3 dresses, 5 pairs of shoes, and 1 purse. There is certainly a little wiggle room to add pieces if you need more business casual or if you are a heavy accessory wearer to include an accessory capsule.
Mostly, it’s about finding what works for you. I am home a lot. So, my capsule leans toward the casual with a few nicer pieces to dress up or down as needed. You may need something else. But, just give it a try! It is amazing how few articles of clothing we actually wear out of a very full closet. Clearing the excess away makes the dressing process really easy and enjoyable!
This spring capsule is very close to my actual closet. I wear clothes that I own for several years so some things are not available and similar replacements have been substituted.
What are your ride or die items that make it in your capsules season after season (ours are comfy shoes, a t-shirt, and skinny jeans!)?
